2021 SEASON RESULTS
IT'S CHAKKA...AGAIN!

Uncle Pablo's best friend and Mudbrook regular Rodney sadly passed away in early 2021. The HHC will miss his great humor and kindness and will hunt in honor of him this season. Rest in peace old friend!
A Friend Lost
For the second year in a row Pedro's son Chakka was the first to draw blood when he downed this really nice 8 pointer on opening morning from The Bank stand. The HHC is off to a great start for another fun season of chasing whitetails in Mudbrook Valley. Excellent work Chakka!
Chakka continued his early season hot streak by taking down this big doe on 9-22-21 from The Chute Stand. The NBK is on fire and he's making his shots count!
Pedro got his season going in the right direction when he took down this doe at the Triangle stand on Tuesday, October 5th. She travelled 15 yards before tipping over which provided a quick and easy recovery. If only they all could be so easy!
In just his second season of bow hunting Brucie has filled his tag twice. He put a great shot on this 8 pointer at The Bank stand on the evening of October 30th. Way to go Brucie...or as the boys in camp started calling him "Curly Sue"! Very funny stuff!
The young kids continued to dominate the season when Chakka's girlfriend Lo Lo killed her first deer ever on Saturday, November 13th at The Bank stand. This six point buck was chasing a doe all around the food plot and she had to draw her bow three different times while keeping her composure...that's impressive! Great work Lo!
Jayhawk also knocked down a doe at the Loop Road on Saturday 11/27. Two shots and two deer down for the kid during the 2021 gun season. Fun stuff!
Every deer harvested is worthy of a celebration and Jayhawks six pointer was no different. Here are Barnacle, Pedro, Jayhawk & Chakka offering advice as Jayhawk handles his first field dressing job. Picture courtesy of Lo Lo.
The young "Jayhawk" followed up last years spike buck with a very nice six pointer in just his second gun season ever. This buck was taken on Sunday 11/28 at the Honey Hole.
The full moon rises over the backfield shooting lanes on 11-20-21
Chakka worked hard to take some good pictures of Jayhawk with his buck. Nice work boys!
Chakka downed  this excellent doe on 12-12-21 from the Bank stand...his third deer of the bow season. Well done!
On Saturday, January 3rd Pedro knocked down his second doe of the season from the Salad Swamp stand. He was the only one in the woods that night so the only picture taken to remember the moment was the start of a blood trail that ended in success!
This picture represents the end of Bee Stings 2021 bow hunting season. He was at the Fire Pit Point stand on Sunday, January 9th (the final day of season) and missed a shot at a buck. As you can see, the highlight of this picture is his glowing lumenock.
The 2021 Bow Season has now come to an end but the boys of Mudbrook Valley have many great memories from the season to last a lifetime. The annual HHC Banquet Night will take place in January or February 2022 where Chakka will be awarded with his name engraved on the HHC Big Buck of the Year plaque. There will also be a day time activity and a night full of celebration cheer, story telling, and trash talk.

2021 Mudbrook Memories
On Saturday, March 13. 2022 the Highbanks Hunting Club celebrated another fun and safe year of hunting in Mudbrook with their annual Banquet Night. This years festivities included a group shed hunting expedition in the afternoon and a "poker run" gauntlet to some fine area establishments. Below are a few pictures of this very fun event!
Chakka poses with the HHC Big Buck Award which he won with the fine 8 pointer he  killed on opening morning of the 2021 season.
