After Kyle's soccer games on Saturday we got up there for the evening hunt on the Back field where he shot an eight pointer. Probably the same one that we saw when we were going back to gut the doe you shot. Big deer, nice horns, not real big but Kyle was pretty excited. After making sure that it wasn't the big one (11 pointer) I gave him the "green light". It took two shots. I told him to aim a couple of inches higher than normal and he shot right over it. It was so damn windy that the buck didn't know what to do or where the shot came from so he kind of danced around a little then turned sideways again so I told Kyle to just put it right on him and squeeze it off. The second shot was the charm, he dropped him in his tracks. Caught him just below the spine. The funny thing is that there were a bunch of does and fawns in the field and they never left. Kyle actually shot over one that was at about 75 yards to get to his buck which was down past Abe's stand.
