2020 SEASON RESULTS
Chakka Strikes First!
Chakka got the 2020 Bow Season off to a fast start when he took down the "Salt Log 10" on Monday, 9/14.

The HHC lost a very dear friend, father, and mentor in 2020. This picture shows Paco, Red Squirrel & Pedro with a memorial to the great Grandmaster B on 9/18/20. Our lives our better because of this man!
Chakka's good friend Brucie killed his first deer ever on 9/18/20...a very nice doe!
With snow falling in October Chakka took down this big doe from The Bank stand on 10-25-20. He was very happy with his shot placement too! The kid is having a great season!

On 10/28 Brucie downed his first buck ever on Heavens Ridge! This big bodied fork horn only went 15 yards after the shot. Very well done!! The youngsters have dominated the season up to this point so now it's time for the "veterans" to step up their game.

The "Big Boss Of Mudbrook"...Pedro's Uncle Jer and Poison's dad, killed this incredible 10 Point Buck on 10/26/20. What an awesome deer!
Despite a record high temperature of 77 degrees, Chapper managed to take down this bruiser 9 point buck at Spoon Ridge on 11/5/20. So cool!!
Bee Sting rang the bell on this dandy 8 pointer from the EAD stand on Friday morning 11/6. A beautiful mature Mudbrook buck! Great work Stinger!
The "Jayhawk" experienced his first ever Gun Season Opening Weekend. He shot his first buck ever on Saturday evening 11/21/20 from the Chute stand then followed up with a big doe on Sunday evening 11/22/20 from the BMM stand while sitting with Pedro. Tagged out on opening weekend...he makes it look easy!
Poison scored big with this exceptional buck on Sunday morning 11/22/20 from the Eagles Nest stand. A very large deer with heavy antlers...just what all of us were looking for. Notice the split brow tines...way to go Poison!
After a long and frustrating autumn, Barnacle finally got himself into the game when he shot a very large doe on Friday morning 11/27/20 from the Oak Park stand. Unfortunately, the Papparazi did a terrible job that day and only got this one picture of Barnacle's back and the deer cart. Maybe Barnacle was still frustrated that it took him three shots and two trips out of the stand to finally kill this deer...that's great shooting buddy!
On Friday evening 11/27/20 Brucie killed his first gun buck ever from Lucky's Pine. Brucie had quite a season of firsts as he also killed his first deer ever and his first bow buck ever...what a way to start out a hunting career! With all of his success, though, poor Brucie did fall victim to a prank by Bee Sting who told him it was an HHC ritual to hold the bucks ball sack up to your chin for a picture. This, along with Brucie's account of what happened after he shot at the 8 point buck, were absolutely hilarious and provided the Mudbrook Boys with loads of laughter around the table that night! Welcome to the HHC Brucie!
Chakka & Paco pulled a Mudbrook "Daily Double" on Saturday 12/12/20 when they took down nice does with their guns. Chakka got his at The Bank stand while Paco took his at the BMM stand. Great work boys!!
Pedro finally got on the board with this doe taken at the Triangle stand on Sunday morning 12/13/20 with his bow. Now its on to a late season buck!
As the 2020 hunting season came to an end, this late December photo of Pedro seemed fitting for how the season went for him...dedicated but still looking for a buck. Maybe next year! As a group, however, the Mudbrook Boys of the Highbanks Hunting Club had a fantastic season of success, safety, & laughter!
